G is for Gingerbread

This week's letter is a 'G', so we made a Gingerbread house for Kalli to take to school for Show-n-tell on Friday.

Athens

Mykonos

I loved Mykonos - a quaint island with windmills and a maze of narrow streets with a church on almost every corner.

Rhodes

It is amazing how each place we go is so different than the others.....Rhodes seemed to be more 'touristy' (is that a word?) than the other stops on this cruise.

Santorini

We then sailed to Greece and spent yesterday on the island of Santorini, which was lovely. We took the cable car up to the top rather than ride the donkeys (I couldn't stand the smell). We had lunch high on the cliff overlooking the water and then found the perfect gift for Kalliopi.

Malta

Sicily - my VERY favorite place so far!

Capri - my favorite spot (so far)

Laurie will be interested in knowing that the Vietri factory is just 7 km from Positano and we saw their pottery everywhere. We are now anchored off the coast of Sorrento. We spent today on the Island of Capri. I took the one-person chairlift up to the top of the mountain for wonderful views.










I want to rent a villa in Capri for a longer stay - it was absolutely beautiful!

Florence

We spent the day in Florence yesterday........got to see Michaelangeo's 'David', which was amazing. Had lunch at a small Tratorria and shopped for gifts on Ponte Vecchia. Then we stopped for cafe latte and Cafe Coletta (espresso & whiskey) before returning to the boat. We are now on the way to Amalfi/Positano.
